We as Physical Therapists are Movement Specialists! Physical Therapists, as defined by the American Physical Therapy Association, "...are health care professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages... who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives."
Every patient is individually examined based on their injury and a specific plan of care is developed that meets the patient’s needs to restore full function, mobility, and to prevent further or repeat injury.
Manual therapy uses hands on techniques to reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function by targeting tight muscles, joints, and tissues to support healing.
Uses controlled resistance and advanced equipment to measure and improve muscle strength and endurance while helping prevent injuries and support rehab through accurate feedback and progress tracking.
Sports medicine in physical therapy helps prevent and treat activity related injuries, supporting athletes in recovering, improving performance, and safely returning to their sport through structured rehab and training programs.
Shockwave therapy uses sound waves to promote healing, reduce pain, improve blood flow, and support faster recovery from conditions like tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and muscle injuries.
Balance training uses focused exercises to improve stability and coordination, helping prevent falls, improve posture, and support better strength and movement control.
This non-invasive treatment helps reduce pain, improve mobility, and promote healing for conditions like herniated discs, sciatica, and chronic back pain.
Cupping therapy is a gentle treatment that uses suction cups to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve mobility. By increasing blood flow and promoting healing, it supports your body’s natural recovery process and enhances overall well-being.
It helps reduce pain, improve muscle function, and enhance nerve conduction by releasing tension, restoring normal communication between muscles and nerves, and promoting healing.
BMSR is a fantastic practice with attentive, comprehensive, and individualized care. Angela was amazing and moved me forward in my difficult recovery from a severe ankle fracture with the perfect balance of push and compassion. I highly recommend!

I spent 4 months at Bryn Mawr Sports Rehab and Physical Therapy working with Shanna. She is fantastic and helped me navigate terrible nerve pain to the point where I am pain-free now! She was supportive, a great listener, pivoted to try new things, had a positive, can-do attitude, and was a pleasure to interact with at each appointment. I hope I don't have to return, but if I do, I know I will be in the best, super-capable hands with Shanna!

I had a very positive outcome while attending sessions with Angela Gervasi and James as well. The unit and all the Physical Therapists and assistants interact with patients and each other in a very respectful manner. I wholeheartedly recommend this Rehab facility-
